Text to "A Lullaby" by Sally Reid.

A shorter version of "A Lullaby," entitled "Lullaby Song" appears on the Texas University Interscholastic League's (UIL) contest list and was published by Southern Music in Art Songs by Contemporary Texas Composers (B-368) in 1987.

• January, 2000 - Performance of Let it Take Years, (soprano version) at Abilene Christian University by Mary Etta Hobbs and Cheryl Lemmons during an Honors Colloquium recital.

• April, 1993 - Performance of "Child's Song: My Backyard" and "Lullaby" from Let it Take Years, at Abilene Christian University, Amy Dederick, senior recital.
• November, 1992 - Performance of Let it Take Years, at Abilene Christian University during American Music Week.
• February, 1992 - Performance of Let it Take Years (by Beth Clayton and Tara Emerson), sponsored by Mu Phi Epsilon and the Texas Composers Forum at the Dallas Public Library in Dallas, Texas.

• April 21, 1990 - Performance of Let it Take Years (a set of three songs for soprano and piano) at a regional meeting of the Society for Composers, Inc. (SCI) at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.
