Program Notes:
This hymn setting was written at the invitation of the Vatican's
Artistic-Cultural Commission for the Jubilee Year 2000, Archbishop
Francesco Marchisano, President. The text is based on scripture
and more than forty Biblical names for Jesus (Phil. 2:5-11, I
Cor. 2:9, I Tim. 3:16, Hebrews 1:1-4, and Col. 1:13-20.)

- December 29, 1999 - Jesus, Redeemer, Messiah The
entire evening was repeated in the Cathedral of Anagni, where
the Jubilee Celebrations were born a thousand years before.
- December 28, 1999 - Jesus, Redeemer, Messiah "Jesus,
Redeemer, Messiah." Performed twice during the Jubilee 2000
Celebration in the Basilica of Santa Maria sopra Minerva in Rome.
The a cappella version opened the program and the work was repeated
by the entire concert ensemble in a fuller version for mass choir,
brass and percussion to close the concert. The National Dance
Academy presented accompanying choreography with dancers in costumes
of the colors on the Jubilee Logo.
