Program Notes:
This aria is taken from the opera, Healing, based
on a libretto by Chris Willerton. The time is 1910. Suffering
from heart disease, John Skye nears the end of a robust life which
ranged from the Montana frontier to Walll Street. He sings of
his rich past in "I Have Seen."


Selected Performance History:
- March 6, 1993 - Premiere performance of I Have
Seen, a bass aria from the chamber opera, Healing,
performed by basso Charles Nelson on
the Abilene Composer's Concert at Hardin-Simmons University.
A performance of the bass aria I Will Arise was
also presented on the same concert.
