Program Notes:

A Carousel Fantasy was commissioned by the Alaska State Council for the Arts for performance during the musicALASKAwomen festival(Summer 1993). Written for a brass quintet (or double quintet) and synthesized carousel (tape), the work was originally performed from a moving merry-go-round in Alaskaland Theme Park. The synthesized carousel is realized in the style of the old Wurlitzer Band Organs.
