I was born in Ashland, Oregon, moved to Alaska in 1981; in 1986 went outside to finish my education--graduated cum laude from Southern Oregon State College (now Southern Oregon University) with a degree in History and a degree in Education. Returned to Alaska, did some subbing, moved to Fairbanks in 1991. I now work as a receptionist for Adult Learning Programs of Alaska.
I have had poetry in small press anthologies and "If We Had Wanted Quiet, We'd Have Raised Goldfish" edited by Bruce Lansky/Meadowbrook Press and in PoetryAlaskaWomen, Music department, University of Alaska, Fairbanks. I am active in the Literary Arts Committee and have chaired the annual Literary Jamboree for the past three years. I am the Superintendent of Fine Arts for the Tanana Valley State Fair. And, of course, belong to several writing groups and organzations.
I am a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and I am single. I live alone in a Senior Housing complex and am chair of the Resident Council. I do not have a cat, a dog or a goldfish! And, most important, I am a Christian and active in my church.
